KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Tuesday having 49968.92 points with a positive change of 92.74 and volume of 226,387,420 shares.

High and Low were 50055.36 and 49621.84 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 509,514,640shares with 410 total traded companies out of which 195 were up 197 were down and 18 were unchanged.

POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 95,400,500 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 78,863,000 shares.

The three top traded companies were Aisha Steel Mill. with a volume of 48,873,500 and price per share of 22.01 (0.33), Japan Power. with a volume 18,913,500 of price per share of 7.09 (0.06), Dost Steels Ltd... with a volume 18,477,500 of price per share of 13.55 (0.12).

The top three advancers were Colgate Palmolive with price per share 1790.00 (85.00), Bhanero Tex.. with price per share of 874.98 (41.28) and Ferozsons (Lab).. share of 754.41 (35.92).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan with price per share of 9001.01 (-298.99), Bata (Pak) with price per share of 4052.59 (-138.40) and Pak Tobacco share of 1282.80 (-67.20).
