RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Monday having 42439.04 points with a positive change of 114.10 and volume of 100,509,600 shares.

High and Low were 42546.53 and 42324.94 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 347,088,270 shares with 381 total traded companies out of which 199 were up 167 were down and 15 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 136,903,300 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 31,759,300 shares.

The three top traded companies were Summit Bank with a volume of 61,841,000 and price per share of 5.12 (0.51), B.O.Punjab with a volume 46,907,500 of price per share of 18.90 (0.01), P.I.A.C.(A) with a volume 27,250,500 of price per share of 12.54 (0.40).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 4317.98 (205.61), Philip Morris Pak. price per share of 2102.88 (86.88) and Sanofi-Aventis share of 1823.53 (86.83).

The top three decliners were Khyber TobaccoXD with price per share of 921.50 (48.50), Siemens Pak. with price per share of 1160.67 (29.53) and Abbott Lab. share of 858.32 (19.68).
