RECORDER REPORT: PSX mid day update

KARACHI: On Wednesday, until mid day, KSE-100 Index was at 42228.00 with a negative change of 64.67 and volume of 59,552,160 shares.

High and Low were 42481.07 and 42213.50 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 199,455,540 shares with 351 total traded companies out of which 144 were up, 194 were down and 13 were unchanged.

POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 28,692,000 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 24,591,100 shares.

The three top traded companies were Quice Food with a volume of 16,614,000 and price per share of 9.87 (0.67), Pace (Pak) Ltd. with a volume 13,155,000 of price per share of 11.15 (0.33), P.I.A.C.(A) with a volume 10,826,500 of price per share of 10.93 (0.07).

The top three advancers were Exide (PAK) with price per share 994.61 (47.36), Siemens Pak. with price per share of 1199.00 (47.00) and Wyeth Pak Ltd share of 3700.00 (34.22).

The top three decliners were Philip Morris Pak. with price per share of 1837.06 (96.68), Indus Motor CoXD with price per share of 1540.35 (31.48) and Sitara ChemicalXD per share of 552.00 (27.80).
