Pakistan Railways (PR) has added Bahawalpur to the network of its computerised ticketing and reservations systems. According to a spokesman, PR utilising the state-of-the-art fiber optics networking technology has added Bahawalpur Reservation Office to its on-line computer network increasing the number to 16 locations.
Locations that are already on the network are: Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Sukkur, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, National Assembly Sectt Islamabad, Lahore Cantt, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Quetta, Hyderabad, Karachi Cantt, and Karachi City.
Computerised ticketing and return reservations facilities are available on above-mentioned stations. Passenger can now plan and purchase their tickets from any of the above locations to any other station on the network before departing from their originating station, along with the confirmed return tickets.
With this facility, passengers can make their travel plans before leaving their originating station, the spokesman concluded.
