imageOne of seven athletes along with 17 officials sent by Pakistan, Seventeen-year-old Haris Bandey crashed out from the Rio Olympics 2016 in the first round as he got the last position in men's 400m free-form heat at the Aquatics Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday.

Haris Bandey is from East Finchley, competed for his home nation of Pakistan in the ongoing event in Brazil, he has participated in the greatest multi-sports show on earth subsequent to take part in the 400m free-form at the Olympic Games but crashed out.

Despite the fact that Bandey’s time of 4.33.13 was the slowest among all 50 competitors in the occasion, the youthful East Finchley sports man now has the memory of contending at an Olympics to think back on.

The Olympic 400m freestyle title was won by Australia's Mack Horton (3.41.55) with Britain's James Guy (3.44.68) finishing sixth in the final.

Before starting the Olympic game previously, Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF) president, Majid Waseem while praising Bandey and Lianna said, “These two swimmers have been practicing abroad and are the best swimmers we have,” local media reported.

After yesterday's outcomes, Pakistan's expectations for an Olympic award lie with the five remaining outstanding competitors, including swimmer Lianna Swan, judoka Shah Hussain Shah, shooter Ghulam Mustafa, and sprinters Mehboob Ali and Najma Parveen.
