babar_awan_CHAKWAL: Pakistan Peoples Party leader and former Law Minister Senator Babar Awan on Monday said Punjab government was losing popularity at a fast pace among people as it has failed to resolve their problems.

He said the people of the province has become sick of the Punjab government and they were demanding a change in the province.

Addressing the Chakwal Bar, he said PPP workers should stand united to break monopoly of the PML(N) political leadership in the province.

He said rulers of Punjab had already adjudged their failure in the next general elections and expressed the optimism that the PPP would form government in the Punjab after winning polls.

He said the PPP would provide rights to the people of the under-privileged parts of the country including Saraiki belt and Potohar region, adding the kitty of the province was not a personal property of any person.

He said he had always supported the cause to provide rights to the lawyers community that was contributing its services for the development and prosperity of the country.

He said a housing colony would be built for the lawyers to provide a decent accommodation as per vision of the PPP's manifesto.

He said the lawyers would also be provided medical facilities and added the PPP government would continue working for the masses's empowerment.

He gave away a cheque worth Rs 1.8 million for the construction of the bar's hall.

Earlier, he was received by leaders of lawyers community and PPP workers at Balkasar interchange where he was showered with rose petals.

The Senator was accompanied by Rajaz Riaz, Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly and senior leader, Mushtaq Awan and MPA Fozia Behram.
