Postal day observed in AJK
MIRPUR: Like rest of the world, Postal day was observed in Azad Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday to raise awareness among people about importance of postal services in this regime of fastest means of communication.
Ceremonies were held under the auspices of Pakistan Post at various major stations in AJK including Mirpur to highlight importance of postal services department to maintain liaison among the people from one place to another across the world.
Speakers highlighted various newly-introduced services of Pakistan Post including fast fax, saving bank deposits, internet western union money transfer, money order and electronic money order and other being provided to the people.
The observance of the post day was also aimed at to create and maintain a structure for the free flow of international mail around the world.
