LSE index gains 86.50 points

 LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) gained 86.50 points on Tuesday, as LSE-25 index opened with 3083.73 and closed at 3169.23 points.

The market's overall situation also corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.273 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.865 million shares, showing a difference of 1.408 shares. While, out of the total 126 active scrips 37 moved up, 69 remained equal and 20 shed values.

Fauji Fertilizer Company, Engro Corporation Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs8.12, Rs4.91 and Rs4.17 respectively.

Nishat Chunia Power Limited, Nishat Power Limited and World Call Telecom Limited lost their per share value by Rs0.49, Rs0.30 and Rs0.25 respectively.

The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with turnover of 530,884 shares, Fatima Fertilizer Company with 316,340 shares and National Bank of Pakistan with 281,884 shares.
