Poultry price falls

chickenKARACHI: The price of broiler chicken meat has declined by Rs26 per kg on after fall in the demand hit the local market, said retailers on Monday. Now, the chicken meat is available for Rs228 per kg, while live bird price reached Rs138 per kg going down by Rs16 in the last two days, they added.

Talking to Business Recorder, General Secretary, Sindh Poultry Wholesalers and Retailers Association, Kamal Akhtar Siddiqi said the association in its meeting reviewed the demand and supply of the chicken in the city and decided to cut the prices of poultry meat and live bird by Rs26 and Rs16 per kg respectively.

He said the chicken meat price was much lower as compared to the price of mutton and beef in the city.
