Wheat procurement drive from April 20

FAISALABAD: Wheat procurement drive will commence in Punjab including Faisalabad division from April 20, 2016.

A spokesman of the Food Department said here on Sunday that 4 million metric ton wheat will be purchased from growers of the Punjab including 504,000 ton from Faisalabad division, 746000 ton from Bahawalpur, 673000 ton from Multan, 485000 ton from Sahiwal, 474000 ton from Dera Ghazi Khan, 432000 ton from Gujranwala, 342000 ton from Sargodha, 339000 ton from Lahore and 5000 metric ton wheat from Rawalpindi division.

Ample stock of gunny bags (Bardana) is also available and its distribution among the growers will be started from April 15, he added.
