MADRID: Spanish prices slumped 2.43 percent in opening trade Thursday as global markets took a grim view of a multi-billion-dollar move to shore up the US economy.
In the opening minutes, the Madrid stock market's IBEX 35 index of leading Spanish shares tumbled 199.2 points to 8,011.1.
