LAHORE: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Sunday said the government was reviewing the request of Interior Minister Abdul Rehman Malik for forming a judicial commission against the allegations levelled by Zulfikar Mirza.

Talking to the media outside the residence of late Muhammad Arsalan, who had donated his liver to help perform the first liver transplant in the country at Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Lahore, he said that proofs, if there were any against the functionary should be presented before the court.

To a question about the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), he said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) did not hanker after the rule and it was working for the unity in the country.

Gilani said that liver transplant centre was his dream come true and he was working on it for the last two years.

He said that Arsalan had set an example for others by donating his liver. Death is a universal truth and the people should donate their organs to save lives of others, he added.

To a question, he said that the second liver transplant centre would start functioning at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad soon after Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Lahore.
