ISLAMABAD: The water level in Tarbela dam has reached at 1546.40 feet which is below only 3.60 feet from its maximum conservation level of 1550 feet.
According to the data released by Indus River System Authority (IRSA) here Thursday, the maximum water level in River Indus at Tarbela was 1546.40 feet which was 167.40 feet higher than its dead level of 1378 feet.
Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 182,200 cusecs while out flow was recorded as 152,600.
Similarly the water level in Mangla dam was risen to 1203.45 feet which is 6.55 feet below from its maximum conservation level of 1210 feet.
The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla was 1203.45 feet which was 163.55 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 29,811 and 10,000 cusecs respectively.
Dam Management Authorities are advised to take utmost care and vigilance in further filling of both the reservoirs and strictly follow filling criteria and safety guidelines.
Meanwhile, the IRSA released 283,488 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 332,899 cusecs.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 145,325, 121,125 and 81,140 cusecs respectively.
Similarly, from River Kabul a total of 35,600 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 85,288 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
