BEIJING: China's current account surplus ballooned to about $70 billion in the second quarter, the country's currency regulator the State Administration of Foreign Exchange said on Tuesday.
This means China's current account surplus more than doubled between April and June, from the $29 billion seen in the previous three months.
The currency regulator said China's capital account surplus stood at $67 billion in the second quarter, narrowing from $86 billion in the first quarter.
