LAHORE: The Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 163.34 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5716.66 points and closed at 5553.32 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 1.403 million shares to close against previous turnover of 641,800 shares, showing an upward move of 762,100 shares. While, out of the total 80 active scrips, only 7moved up, 33 shed values and 40 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Dewan Cement Limited, Systems Limited and Soneri Bank Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Re 0.54, Re 0.44 and Re 0.39 respectively.
Pakistan Oil Fields Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Engro Corporation Limited lost their per share value by Rs 10.69, Rs 6.39 and Rs 6.00 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 272,000 shares, Askari Bank Limited with 256,000 shares and NIB Bank Limited with 150,000 shares.
