Gold jumps to record high, reaches Rs57,800 per tola

KARACHI: Gold jumped by Rs772 to touch all time high at Rs49,542 per 10 grams in the local market Thursday, as its international price also soared to $ 1,785 an ounce, market sources said.

According to the Karachi Saraf Association, bullion's tola (11.664 grams) price also surged by Rs900 to Rs57,800.

However, silver closed unchanged at Rs1,071.42 per 10 grams.
