SYDNEY: Commonwealth Bank of Australia has significant liquidity buffers to handle any closing of markets due to the current global economic turmoil, Chief Executive Ralph Norris said on Wednesday.
CBA, which reported a record second half cash profit, said it has A$101 billion in liquid assets as at June 2011 and has continued to build on it in July and August.
