WASHINGTON: Washington's debt ceiling crisis had an unnecessary negative impact on the US economy, President Barack Obama said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters during a meeting of his Cabinet at the White House, the president also said the government may lose $1 trillion from a congressional impasse over federal aviation and urged lawmakers to resolve their differences by the end of this week.
