ramadan-moonKARACHI: The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, headed by Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman, announced the officical sighting of the Ramazan-ul-Mubarak moon, and the first fast of the Holy month will be observed on Tuesday.

Earlier, the Ruet-i-Hilal committee met for sighting of the moon on Monday at the Meteorological Office in the metropolis.

Muslims around the world have also begun the month of fasting and forgiveness.

Fasting teaches individuals to help each other, control anger, stay away from violence and thank God for the smallest of blessings.
