KARACHI: The Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh, Wajid Ali Durrani has ordered the police to remain alert and thwart any act of lawlessness during the holy month of Ramazan.

He ordered all the zonal DIGs to take measures for the security of the people during the holy month and ensure presence of policemen in uniform and civil dress, according to the Central Police Office statement issued here on Sunday.

The IGP also ordered strict security measures around all the shopping centres to ensure safety of the citizens and setting up of police pickets at sensitive points.
