bancoSAO PAULO: Lending growth at Brazilian lender Banco Bradesco has surprised executives "on the upside," Chief Financial Officer Domingos de Abreu said on Wednesday.

Robust growth in loan disbursement for large companies might slow toward the end of the year, Abreu said on a conference call with reporters.

The segment is growing at a 27 percent annual pace, above the bank's 15 percent to 19 percent overall credit growth estimate for 2011.
