Huge quantity of unhygienic meat seized

SARGODHA: Police on Saturday claimed to have recovered huge quantity of unhygienic meat and arrested an accused.

Police said that Phularwan police headed by SHO conducted a raid at village Dhoori and found some persons loading meat of dead animals onto a vehicle. Seeing the police, the accused fled.

The police chased the accused and arrested one of the accused identified as Muzzafar Ali of Dhoori while their four accomplices Ahmed, Riaz, Ghulam Hussain and Manzoor Hussain managed to escape.

The police have taken the meat into custody, weighing 2400 kg.

Police have registered a case against the accused.
