LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said here on Wednesday that Aashiyana Housing Scheme is for the poor and the common man and credit goes to Pakistan Muslim League-N for realizing the dream of shelter-less people to have their own house.
He was presiding over a meeting to review the pace of progress on Aashiyana Housing Project. Chairman Punjab Land Development Company and Member Provincial Assembly, Sh. Allauddin, Additional Chief Secretary, Commissioner and District Coordination Officer Lahore as well as officers concerned were present.
The CM said that this scheme will not only have modern amenities but will also be unique with regard to the speed of execution, its standard and transparency. He said that Aashiyana housing schemes will be started in all districts of the province under a phased programme.
The Chief Minister said that transparency in the execution of development projects was the hallmark of Punjab government and Aashiyana Housing Project would also be completed in a transparent manner.
