karachiLAHORE: Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI),an apex body of chambers in the country Friday expressing its deep concern said that killing of innocent people in Karachi was playing havoc with the national economy.

Condemning the ugly incidents of killings in Karachi by anti-state elements, President FPCCI Senator Haji Ghulam Ali said that foreign elements hatched well orchestrated conspiracy to de-stabilise the country economically by creating law and order situation.

He said that killing has never been the answer to solutions within the tenets of Islam.

He urged that political parties irrespective of their differences, to stand united on the agenda to stamp out the menace of terror.

Veteran trade leader, former President FPCCI,Co-Chairman Businessman Panel and VP SAARC CCI Iftikhar Ali Malik said that it was high time that people from all strata of the society especially political parties to forge unity in their ranks to thwart the nefarious designs of anti-state elements bent upon sabotaging peaceful atmosphere across the country.

Iftikhar Ali Malik said that for smooth flow of foreign investment in every sphere of life and all sector, peaceful growth oriented atmosphere coupled with better law and order was a pre-requisite.

He said that in one day strike even the nation suffers billions of rupees of loss and most of the export orders could not be shipped to their desired destination, besides rendering millions of daily wagers jobless.

He made an impassioned appeal to political parties, especially religious parties and groups, to play their active role in weeding out the macabre acts such as suicidal attacks and violence to frustrate evil designs of anti-Pakistan forces.

He categorically assured that entire business community would continue to lend full help to the state in the war against terrorism.
