ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Syed Naveed Qamar said on Wednesday that 3000 megawatt of more power has been provided to national grid during the last three years.
According to a press release issued here, he said very hard work is being done to bridge the power demand and supply gap.
Steps have been taken to minimize the duration of the loadshedding so that the problems of the people could be reduced during the summer.
He said no area has been exempted from the power loadshedding. Loadshedding is being done in cities and villages under a well prepared plan and without any discrimination.
Government is taking all steps to raise power generation as during the hot season the gap widens between demand and supply of power. Maximum electricity is being produced from the existing power production units, he said.
He urged the people to avoid violent protests as this does not offer solution to any problem.
