Defeat in AJK polls exposed PML-N's popularity graph: Wattoo
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Mian Manzoor Ahmed Khan Wattoo has said that the recent defeat of PML-N in AJK elections had exposed its popularity graph in Punjab and advised its leaders to give up talking of mid-term elections.
"The PML-N should have realized that its popularity graph declined as evident form defeats in the by-polls in the country in which the PPP emerged as victorious", he added.
Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo while talking to PTV termed the establishment of Danish schools in Punjab a drama and said it was not a fruitful educational activity, as 63,000 government schools in the province were already in need of teachers and other infrastructure.
The PML-N should accept defeat in the AJK elections and prepare for the next general elections in the country, rather than harping for mid-term polls, he said and added it should rather focus on holding local government elections in the province.
To a question, Manzoor Wattoo also termed the opposition's grand alliance an attempt to damage the present democratic setup.
