HANOI: Vietnam's industrial output in June grew an estimated 15.2 percent from a year before, accelerating from 14.2 percent in May, the government said on Wednesday.
The General Statistics Office estimated that industrial output for June reached 75.33 trillion dong ($3.66 billion).
June's industrial production index (IPI) -- published for the first time this month -- rose 12.7 percent from a year before, it said, while the January-June IPI increased 9.7 percent from the same period last year.
Vietnam is targeting industrial output growth of 14.8 percent this year after 14 percent last year.
The World Bank has cut its projection for the country's industrial growth this year to 13 percent from 14.5 percent.
