HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares slipped 0.79 percent in the first session on Thursday, in line with regional markets, after the US central bank cut its 2011 growth forecast for the world's number one economy.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 171.90 points to 21,688.07 on turnover of HK$29.10 billion ($3.74 billion).
