KARACHI: Vice President Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Dawood Usman Jakhura who was nominated as Chairman of Asian Textile & Garments Council (ATGC) of Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce & Industry (CACCI) has said that Pakistan being an important producer of textiles, garments in the region is in a position to help CACCI in its efforts to develop, promote cooperation among businessmen of CACCI member states.
Jakhura said ATGC is one of Product & Service Councils (PSC) formed under the CACCI umbrella to promote greater business interaction among CACCI members who are in the same line of products or services.
He said that the PSC will address issues affecting respective sectors finding solutions to common problems and work out specific programs to accelerate regional cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, technology transfer, capital flow, information exchange, exploring opportunities for business cooperation, joint ventures, initiating and completing business deals.
