62.3pc wheat procurement target achieved

VEHARI: The district food department has achieved 62.3 per cent of the wheat procurement target here on Sunday.

According to DFC Sufian Ahmed, the district food department had established 12 centres to purchase wheat from farmers. He said the department had achieved 62.3 per cent of the target so far. He added that the remaining would be achieved by June 3.

He said the department had issued 66.7 per cent gunny bags among farmers. He claimed gunny bags are issued on merit.
