S.Korea buys 2,000 T copper cathode

SEOUL: South Korea has bought 2,000 tonnes of grade A copper cathode of Chilean origin for March 25 arrival via tenders closed on Tuesday, the state-run Public Procurement Service said.

The purchase was made at a premium of $90 per tonne over the London Metal Exchange price on a cost, insurance and freight (CIF) basis, the agency said on its website (www.g2b.go.kr). The cargo would be delivered to the port of Incheon, it said.
