LAHORE: A bearish trend prevailed in the Lahore Stock Exchange on Thursday as it shed 45.07 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4624.98 and closed at 4579.91 points.
The market's overall situation also did not not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 7.174 million shares to close against previous turnover of 11.254 million shares, showing a downward slide of 4.079 million shares. While, out of the total 94 active scrips 17 moved up, 31 remined equal with 46 shed values.
Engro Foods Limited, Habib Bank Limited and Nishat Mills Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 3.03, Rs 2.06 and Rs 2.03 respectively.
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Muslim Commercial Bank Limited and Engro Coperation Limited lost their per share value by Rs 3.50, Rs 2.51 and Rs 2.50 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab (R) with 3.721 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 1.201 million shares and Byco Petroleum Pakistan with 596,500 shares.
