Pre-monsoon rains: Growers advised to take precautionary measures

KARACHI: Met Office has advised the growers to take precautionary measures during the continuing pre-monsoon rainy spell to protect their standing crops, and livestock.

The Met office forecasts an early start of monsoon rains in the country at a normal scale.

Keeping in view the beginning of pre-monsoon rains in different parts of the country, the farmers of cotton and sugarcane crops should stop irrigating their crops till June 20. It says the farmers of upper half of the country are advised to prepare the fields for the coming Kharif crops in time.
