GUJRANWALA: Commissioner Gujranwala division, Saeed Wahla said this year some 380,000 metric tons wheat procurement target has been fixed for the division for which the Food department has set up 42 centres.
Talking to farmers after his visit to wheat procurement centres in two tehsils--Daska and Pasroor on Monday, he said that wheat growers were being provided all out facilities at procurement centres on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister.
DPO Sialkot Mujahid Sherdil, AC Pasroor Muhammad Shakir Sandhoo, Assistant Commissioner revenue Gujranwala Asif Raza and officers of food department were also present.
He said that revenue department had established counters at all procurement centres and deputed patwari of relevant circles at there for issuing tokens to farmers for giving bardana.
He said that farmers would be provided eight jute bags or 16 PP bags per acres against deposits.
