LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Wednesday as it shed 23.75 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4069.62 and closed at 4045.87 points.
The market's overall situation also corresponded to a downward trend as it remained at 2.561 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.909 million shares, showing a downward slide of 348,120 shares. While, out of the total 100 active scrips 16 moved up, 20 shed values and 64 remined equal.
Adamjee Insurance Company, Engro Foods Limited and Dawood Hercules Corporation were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 3.45, Rs 2.20 and Rs 1.20 respectively.
D.G.Khan Cement Company, Engro Corporation Limited and Kot Addu Power Company lost their per share value by Re 0.75, Re 0.71 and Re 0.71 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 759,500 shares, Maple Leaf Cement Factory with 302,500 shares and Fauji Cement Company Limited with 227,500 shares.
