ISLAMABAD: Trade deficit narrowed to $920 million in March from $1.5 billion a year earlier, the Federal Bureau of Statistics said on Saturday.
The trade deficit was $895 million in February.
Exports increased to $2.49 billion in March, from $1.77 billion a year ago, according to the bureau. Imports totalled $3.41 billion, up from $3.28 billion in March last year.
The country's trade deficit for the first nine months of the 2010/11 (July-June) fiscal year was $11.21 billion, compared with a $11.03 billion deficit in the same period last year.
