KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah on his arrival from Islamabad Thursday midnight went straight to the site that was hit, a few hours earlier, by hand grenade attack in Saddar area by unidentified culprits.
A mutton shop, near Rainbow Center, was the target killing one and leaving several injured including owner of the shop.
The chief minister was accompanied by CCPO - Karachi, Saud Mirza, DIG South, Iqbal Mahmood and other senior police officials who briefed him about the incident.
They informed the chief minister that all injured were immediately shifted to different tertiary care hospitals in the city and that cause of the incident was being investigated from different angles.
The CM directed the police authorities to improve the law and order situation in the province, to keep strict vigil on unscrupulous elements and to ensure immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the attack at the busiest shopping area in the city.
Provincial Minister Rafiq Engineer, Special Assistant to the Sindh Chief Minister and Coordinator Siddiq Abu Bhai were also present on the occasion.
