ISLAMABAD: Shifa International Hospital on Thursday organized an awareness walk here to mark World Health Day. Students of various schools run by Tameer-e-Millat Foundation and students and faculty members of Shifa College of Medicine and Shifa College of Nursing and representatives of Shifa Foundation participated in the walk.
Addressing the participants of the walk, President and Chief Executive of Shifa International Hospital Dr Zaheer Ahmed said "Healthy Pakistan is possible when the people are made aware of the fact that health is a gift of Almighty Allah and we are supposed to care about it."
He said, it is high time to educate people about the health hygiene and urged country's youth to come forward and contribute in this noble cause. He expressed the hope that young generation will remain health conscious.
SSP Tahir Alam who was representing IG Police said that it is encouraging that youngsters are activity participating in health awareness
related activities.
