LONDON: The dollar fell 1 percent on the day versus the Swiss franc on Wednesday as the US currency fell broadly amid an uptick in equity markets, with hedge funds said to be big sellers on the day.
The dollar hit a session low of 0.8985 francs on trading platform EBS, its lowest since Sept. 30, as stops below the psychologically important 0.90 franc level were triggered.
