ISLAMABAD: The annual ceremony to change Ghilaf-e-Kaaba known as 'Kiswa', was held Thursday morning.
The covering cloth of the Kaaba is changed on 9th Zilhaj every year, PTV reported.
The new cover has been prepared with hundreds of kilograms of silk, pure gold and silver fiber.
It has been prepared by thirty weaving experts and costs millions of Saudi riyals. The cover is inscribed with verses from the Holy Quran.
Ghusl-e-Kaaba (cleaning of the Kaaba) ceremony was performed with sacred Aab-e-Zamzam mixed with rose water.
