ISLAMABAD: A total of four hundred Ph.D Scholarships have been awarded by Higher Education Commission (HEC) during the year 2013-14.
The Ph.D Scholarships including 382 were foreign and 18 indigenous, said an official of HEC while talking to APP, on Tuesday.
He said Pakistani Ph.D. students studying abroad in 21 countries including Australia (4), Austria (5), Belgium (8), China (16), Denmark (1), France (14), Germany (84), France 14, Hong Kong (15), Italy (11), Malaysia (34), Netherlands (3), Norway (1), Poland (1), South Korea (76), Spain (1), Thailand (10), Turkey (40), United Kingdom UK (15), United States USA (38) and Canada (2).
He said HEC was making extraneous efforts to provide maximum facilities to the students as well as teachers.
