SHANGHAI: Chinese shares were down 0.35 percent in early trade Thursday as investors stayed cautious ahead of the release of manufacturing data for June later in the day, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers A and B shares, slipped 8.06 points to 2,284.81.
