  • TLP Chief said that the movie is the latest move to humiliate clerics and a direct attack to values of Islam.
  • Many Pakistani celebrities have been raising their voices to let the film release in Pakistani cinemas.

The fate of the controversial movie, ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ remains uncertain as the Islamic clerics, Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) and religious political party Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) decried the movie for humiliating clerics and values of Islam.

TLP Chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi, while addressing his party workers at Kashmir Solidarity Day at Faisal Chowk, Lahore said that the movie is the latest move to humiliate clerics and a direct attack to values of Islam.

“We will not let the film Zindagi Tamasha release and will do whatever it takes to make sure it does not see the light of day,” he said.

Upon ban requests made by TLP, the film was to be reviewed by CII along with TLP representatives to judge the film and decide whether it falls under the tenets of Islam. The review date was set for February 3, 2020 but it has yet to take place.

Many Pakistani celebrities have been supporting Sarmad Khoosat’s efforts and raising their voices to let the film release in Pakistani cinemas.
