Dengue larva found at Nishtar Hospital MS official residence

MULTAN: Recovering of dengue larva from official residence of Nishtar Hospital Medical Superintendent, Dr Shahid Bokhari and from Children Complex sent alarming bell ringing in health department and the district administration alike.

Health department sources told APP on Tuesday evening that dengue larva was recovered from Dr Shahid Bokhari's official residence and children's complex on routine surveillance.

Besides, the source said that a large amount of larva was found at three main fast food chains including McDonald, Pizza Hut and Burger King in the city, adding that warning notices had been served on the owners in this connection.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Aamir Khattak expressed annoyance over dengue larva finding at Nishatr MS residence and Children Complex.

Chairing a meeting at his office, he said that he believed in practical measures instead of lip service from the different departments.
