LONDON: An Indian tender mopped up several cargoes of west African crude on Thursday but spot activity remained muted.

Around 10-15 Nigerian cargoes were heard to remain for July loading.

Price offerings for August loading cargoes of major grades Bonny Light and Qua Iboe were dated Brent plus $2.50-$2.60 a barrel.

India's IOC awarded its latest buy tender for west African crude loading Sept. 1-10 to Total for 3 million barrels of oil but grade details did not immediately emerge.

Indonesia's Pertamina has issued a tender for crude loading Aug. 1-8 set to close on Friday.

Italian prosecutors are widening an investigation into suspected obstruction of justice by officials of oil group Eni , sources said, threatening to open a new legal front for the company as it defends itself in a major corruption trial.

Nigerian state oil company NNPC said late on Wednesday it had fully settled its debts to ExxonMobil's local subsidiary with a payment of $833.57 million.

NNPC said the money to Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN) settled long-standing debts owed via "cash calls," or costs that it is obligated to pay to joint-venture partners in oil and gas exploration and production.
