US Cash Grains-Soybean bids mixed at processors

Published Updated

CHICAGO: Spot basis bids for soybeans were mixed at US Midwest processors early on Tuesday after scattered country movement on Monday, dealers said.

Cash bids for soybeans were flat at elevators and steady to firm at river terminals.

Some dealers reported cash market sales of soybeans on Monday as the futures market rallied.

But many growers had been reluctant to sell unless they had immediate cash flow needs to fill, a northern Ohio dealer said.

Corn bids were steady to firm at interior processors and elevators and mostly stronger along rivers.

Corn sales have been slow even as the futures market rallied to a four-year high due to uncertainty about harvest yields this fall.
