CHICAGO: Following are US trade expectations for the opening of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Monday.

WHEAT -  Up 7 to 10 cents per bushel

Gains in corn support wheat market. Concerns about wet conditions in US Plains and Midwest delaying harvest and lowering crop quality also add strength.

The most-active CBOT soft red winter wheat futures contract  hit its highest since Aug. 30 during the overnight trading session.

CBOT July soft red winter wheat struggled to hold support above the high end of its 20-day Bollinger range.

CBOT July wheat last traded up 7-1/4 cents at $5.45-3/4 a bushel. K.C. July hard red winter wheat was last up 9-3/4 cents at $4.86, and MGEX July spring wheat was 6-1/4 cents higher at $5.69-1/2.

CORN - Up 7 cents to 10 cents per bushel

Corn surged 1.8 percent overnight to fresh five-year high after more rain in the US Midwest during the weekend and forecasts for cool temperatures threatened to further stunt the growth of a crop that was already well behind schedule due to late plantings.

Corn futures set contract highs across the board.

The most-active CBOT corn futures contract hit its highest since June 3, 2014, overnight, peaking at $4.64-1/4 a bushel.

Next resistance point for benchmark CBOT July corn futures  seen at high end of 20-day Bollinger range.

CBOT July corn last traded up 8-1/4 cents at $4.61-1/4  per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Up 12 cents to 16 cents per bushel

Rainy weather supports soybean market, with showers keeping farmers struggling to finish up their plantings out of the fields again during the weekend.

CBOT July soybean futures broke through 200-day moving average but hit resistance at high end of 20-day Bollinger range.

Most-active soybean futures contract hit its highest since March 6 overnight.

CBOT July soybeans last traded up 13-3/4 cents at $9.10-1/2 per bushel.
