ZAGREB: Croatia sold 1.25 billion kuna ($190.71 million) of treasury bills just surpassing the target at two separate auctions on Tuesday, with the yields remaining unchanged, Finance Ministry data showed.

The ministry sold 1.052 billion kuna of one-year paper against the 1.0 billion kuna target. The yield remained flat at 0.09 percent.

It also sold 200 million kuna of six-year bills reaching the target. The yield remained unchanged at 0.06 percent.

That paper was last traded on June 5, 2018.

Non-banking investors bought 75 percent of the one-year paper. The complete offer of the six-month bills was soaked up by the banks.

Occasionally, the ministry also sells bills with three-month maturity and those denominated in euros.

Following the auction, Croatia's short-term local currency debt fell to 16.81 billion kuna from 17.06 billion as 1.5 billion kuna worth of bills mature this week.

The next auction will take place on Feb. 26.
