The Supreme Court has made it clear that it was not the apex court but the government of the day that allowed former president and army chief General Pervez Musharraf (retd) to leave the country on medical ground. According to the apex court, the decision in this regard was interpreted wrongly.
"The SC did not grant permission to Musharraf to travel abroad... . This permission was granted by the government, which excluded his name from the ECL," the chief Justice of Pakistan has been quoted by media as saying. The PML-N must therefore stop telling lies about who actually facilitated Musharraf's exit from the country. Lies will never become the truth.
