Incidents of kidnapping and murder have shown an upward trend in the federal capital during the last week putting a question mark over the performance of Islamabad capital territory police. According to data gathered by Business Recorder through registered first information reports (FIRs), over eight cases of kidnapping, four cases of murder, six cases of various kinds of theft, including robberies and snatching, and four cases of carjacking were reported to various police stations of the city during the last week.
In the same period, most "favourite" areas for the criminals and kidnappers were within the limits of Golra, Karachi Company, Industrial Area and Nilore police stations. During the last week Golra police station registered two cases each of murder and kidnapping and one case of purse snatching. Abid lodged a complaint with Golra police station that accused Haider and Usman have kidnapped and killed his daughter.
Another Rozi Khan informed same police station that the accused Shah, Taj and others killed his brother Tahir Khan. Similarly, Riasat lodged a complaint with Golra police station that the accused Fiazan and other kidnapped his sister. Another Abdur Razzaq lodged a complaint with Golra police station that unknown accused have kidnapped his daughter.
Ajmad Khan lodged a complaint with Golra police station that unknown accused snatched gold ornaments from his daughter. During the period under review, Karachi Company police registered one case each of kidnapping and death of two persons due to negligence of doctors. Abdul Wahab lodged a complaint with Karachi Company police station that unknown people kidnapped his brothers Abdul Qadoos and Abdus Samad.
Another Ihsanul Haq informed Karachi Company police station that his wife and newborn died during surgery because of negligence of Dr Tahira Batol, Dr Tariq, Dr Kiran, Dr Nasreen and Dr Fakhar. Industrial Area police station registered two cases of motor vehicle theft. Auto thieves stole a bike bearing registration number AAR-451 of Ferman Khan and stole a car (LEC-3476) of wife of Nisar Mushtaq from the limits of Industrial Area police station.
During the last week Nilore police station registered one case each of kidnapping and murder. Zafar Mehmood lodged a complaint with Nilore police station that unknown kidnapper has abducted his son Talal Zafer. Another Naeem Akhtar informed Nilore police station that unknown persons killed his brother Mehmood. During the last week, Sihala, Bhara Kahu and Khanna police stations registered one case each of kidnapping while Kohsar, Ramana, Noon and Shehzad Town police stations registered one case each of robbery.
